Welcome to my blog.

I am a wife to a wonderful husband, mother of 4 and registered nurse who grew up Catholic. I fell away for more than 10 years throughout my young adulthood. I found Mother Angelica through Catholic radio, and I fell in love with Christ and His Church.

Scary statistics

Last year (2021) saw the highest drug overdose-related deaths on record in the U.S. (CDC).

We are at record-high sexually transmitted infection (STI) levels with more than 55% of cases affecting adolescents and young adults—with 2.6. million infected in 2019 (CDC).

Suicide is the 12th leading cause of death in the U.S. and increasing. Between 1999-2019, suicides rose by 33% with a 95% increase in ages 10-14 from 2000-2018 (CDC and SHADAC).

A 2021 Gallop poll revealed U.S. church/mosque/synagogue membership fell below the majority for the first time in U.S. history (47%). Religious membership was 70% in 1999.

A 2019 Pew Research Center poll showed 26% of adults in the U.S. declared themselves as “Nones” (i.e. no religious affiliation), and one-third of U.S. Catholics showed they did not believe in the Real Presence of Jesus the Eucharist.

Purpose of my blog

My search for evidence for the truth of the Catholic faith brought about 3 years of careful research and a written manuscript I hope to publish someday for the thousands of fallen-away or doubting Catholics in the U.S and around the world. In it, I use top-notch research sources such as Father Robert Spitzer, S.J., Ph.D., St. Augustine of Hippo, St. Thomas Aquinas, the Catechism of the Catholic Church, the Bible and G.K. Chesterton to back my claims.

I do this by showing our identity is rooted in God alone, who is revealed in plain sight through multiple ways, including: within the Church Jesus founded, through the fields of theology, philosophy and science; natural law; the witness of the saints/martyrs; the theology of Christ’s sacrifice; modern-day miracles (including Eucharistic miracles); the seven sacraments, the mystery of evil, relics like the Shroud of Turin and much more.

This blog is also a means to bring people to Christ through the fullness of truth, which is revealed through the teachings of the Catholic Church.
